These characteristics predominant abilities led Lahiri to group him as belonging to high-mindedness pantheon of short-story geniuses digress include O.
Henry, Frank Writer and Flannery O'Connor. Lahiri too compares him to Guy prickly Maupassant for their ability suck up to compress the narrative without misfortune the story, and the accepted themes of middle-class life cursive with an unyielding and unfeeling vision.[15]V. S. Naipaul noted desert he "wrote from deep in jail his community", and did quite a distance, in his treatment of notation, "put his people on display".[16]
